It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lawrence Michael Sharpe at his home in Onchan on Monday, November 20, 2023. A beloved partner to Laura for an enduring 23 years, Lawrence, affectionately known as Mike, left a lasting impact on the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Mike’s departure is keenly felt by his nephews Ian, Paul, and Barry, his sister-in-law Marian, and his cherished role as a great uncle to Summer, Lannie, Nula, and Issac.
The void left by his absence is palpable among his extended family and the many friends who were touched by his warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lawrence Michael Sharpe will take place at St. Paul’s Church in Ramsey on December 14, 2023, at 10 am. Following the service, a committal will be held at the Douglas Borough Crematorium. To honor Mike’s memory, the family suggests making donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice IOM.
During the funeral service, attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, reflecting Mike’s easygoing and approachable nature.
