Lawrence “Larry” Beyreis is his given name. He was 82 years old and a Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin resident. He was formerly from Birchwood, Wisconsin. He died peacefully in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, with his wife at his side.
Gordon and Miriam (Ortwig) Beyreis, his parents, welcomed him into the world on October 12, 1941, in Radisson, Wisconsin.
Larry graduated from Hinsdale High School, which is situated in Hinsdale, Illinois, in 1960. Following that, he attended Vocational School in Industrial Engineering in Chicago, where he also taught for many years. Kathleen “Kathy” Kwiatek attended the wedding, which took place on June 13, 1964, in Oak Park, Illinois.
They migrated to Rice Lake/Campia in 1972 and 1978, then to Angus/Birchwood in 1978 and 2016, and ultimately to Chippewa Falls in 2016. He worked for MasterCraft Industries after retiring from Johnson Truck Bodies in Rice Lake, was self-employed via Kitchens, Inc., and was also employed by Kitchens.
He enjoyed golf, fishing, and watching all sports, and he was a tremendous enthusiast of his autos, especially their speed. He also treasured the time he spent with his whole family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 and a half years, Kathleen “Kathy” Beyreis; three children, Jeff Beyreis (Debe), Randy (Dawn) Beyreis, and Julie (Terry) Schutte; four grandchildren, Noah, Brenna, Megan, and Taylor; a great grandson, Hudson; his cherished Golden Retriever, Ginger; three brothers, Ken (Kathleen) Beyreis, Rich Beyreis, and Jim (Rhonda) Beyreis; and a large number of nephews and nieces.
Gordon and Miriam Beyreis, his parents, died before him. He continues in their footsteps. Funeral services will be held at the Rice Lake Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. The event will be presided over by Elders Mark Graham and Ozro Peck.
Following the funeral rituals, the family will be put to rest in Birchwood’s Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Church on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, is handling the arrangements and offering aid and care to the family.
