With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of a beloved soul, James Stevenson, who departed from this world on December 4th, 2023, at Causeway Hospital. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and familial devotion.
James, known affectionately as a dearly loved husband, resided at 11 Manister Rd, Armoy, with his cherished wife, Rebecca, fondly called Ruby. A family man at heart, James was the much-loved father of Richard, Noel, Pamela, and Lyle. His family extended to include sons- and daughters-in-law Christine, Sandra, Gordon, and Tina. In his role as a devoted granda, James brought joy to the lives of James, Lucy, Emily, Katie, Sam, Noah, Chloe, and Andy.
James’s impact rippled through his siblings—Lorna, Carol, and Alister. Although mourning the loss of Hubert, James’s late brother, they collectively share the grief of his passing. His familial ties also extended to being a dear brother-in-law and uncle, weaving a rich tapestry of interconnected lives.
A Funeral Service to celebrate James’s life will take place on Thursday at 1:00 pm in Mosside Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. Visitors are welcome to pay their respects at his home from Tuesday evening onward.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations, if desired, to be made to Chest, Heart & Stroke, a cause close to James’s heart. Contributions can be sent to DJM Robinson & Son, 121 Culcrum Road, Cloughmills, BT44 9DT.
As we bid farewell to James Stevenson, let us remember his life with the comforting words, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” May his memory be a source of solace and may his loved ones find strength in the legacy of love he leaves behind. James will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
