This past Sunday, my heart sank as I received the devastating news that our dear colleague and friend, Dean Rodney Craig, had passed away. The Ruffner Family, of which we were all a part, is now grappling with the heavy loss of a cherished member. The bond within our tight-knit group was strong, and Dean played a significant role in shaping the warmth and camaraderie we shared. Dean, affectionately known as Nupe, left an indelible mark on the lives of many young people.
His influence reached far beyond professional boundaries, touching the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. I find solace in the countless memories of laughter and shared experiences that we, as the Ruffner Fam, were fortunate to create with Dean. The Library on the Third Floor holds a special place in our hearts, where we engaged in profound life conversations that will forever be etched in our minds. Dean’s wisdom, kindness, and genuine friendship created an environment where meaningful discussions flourished.
As we mourn the loss of Dean Rodney Craig, we also celebrate the profound impact he had on each of us. Rest easy, Nupe. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. May we find strength in the memories we shared and carry forward the lessons he imparted on us.
