On December 2, 2023, Maggie Lou Sesco, 75, of Williamson, West Virginia, departed quietly from her residence. On September 5, 1948, in Williamson, West Virginia, she was born into the family of the late Charlie Hamilton and Ruth Jane Moore Whitt. Maggie was a loving sister, friend, mother, and grandma. Her brothers Sammy, Mac, Charles, and Jim Ed Whitt as well as her sister Betty McCoy before her. Her husband Eugene Sesco also passed away before her.
James Price of Williamson, West Virginia, and Danny Wayne Maynard and his wife Lydia of Palm Springs, Florida, are her sons who survive her. In addition, she was a devoted grandma to Athena, Ryan, and Lindsey. In addition, Maggie is survived by her sisters Patty Varney of Beckley, WV, Brenda Kay Barger and her husband Eddie of Sprigg, and Roberta Curry and her husband Denvil of Lockbourne, OH; brothers Rick Whitt and his wife Amanda of Sprigg, WV, and Danny Whitt and wife Tran of Dandridge, TN.
Maggie consistently attended the Cornerstone Church of Hatfield Bottom in Matewan, West Virginia, and devoted her life to her Pentecostal religion. As a housewife, she brought humor, love, and faith into her family.
Even when she wasn’t feeling well, her contagious cheerfulness made others laugh all the time. She was also very much in love with her dog, Dukie. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith,” is how Maggie lived her life.
It is found in 2 Timothy 4:7. Her life served as an example of her steadfast love for her family and her deep faith. May everyone who knew and loved her find blessings in her memory. A memorial service’s specifics will be revealed late.
