The first of December, 2023 was the day when James Charles Bell Thomson, fondly known as Grampy or Grandpa Coffee, said his final goodbyes to this world. He was surrounded by love and calm at the time of his passing.
During his incredible voyage, which lasted for an astounding one hundred years and ten months, he left an indelible impact on the hearts of those who had the good fortune to become his acquaintance.
It is a credit to Grampy’s vivacious enthusiasm and contagious delight that he readily claimed the title of the most intriguing and funniest person in the room at whatever party he attended.A significant portion of Grampy’s long and fruitful life was devoted to providing assistance to individuals who were economically disadvantaged.
Because of his constant dedication to having a good influence on the lives of other people, he became a hero not only for his family but also for everybody who had the opportunity to interact with him.
As his granddaughter, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of pride in the fact that I am related with a person who is also so caring and motivational. Because of his absence, there is a hole that cannot be filled, and the weight of that loss will be felt continually throughout each and every day.
The legacy of compassion, generosity, and humor that he leaves behind, on the other hand, will continue to reverberate, and it will serve as a reminder of the amazing person that he was throughout all of eternity. I bid you farewell, Grampy, till the next time we meet. Always provide love.
