On November 21, 2023, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Youth Services Unit requested the aid of the general public in identifying Edwin Melendez-Cerros, who was 15 years old at the time. Melendez-Cerros was previously reported as a runaway.
The Hispanic guy, who was last seen at his house on Poverty Flats Road in Eastover, North Carolina, on November 20, 2023, at around 6:45 p.m., was described as having brown eyes and black hair, standing at 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing more than 115 pounds.
At the time of his disappearance, Melendez-Cerros was wearing khaki slacks, a t-shirt, and black and white Chuck Taylor sneakers. He was also wearing a pair of tennis shoes. The authorities are of the opinion that he may be in the Raleigh region.
