First, the knighting of Harry Unfortunately, we must inform you of the passing of a member who was revered for a very long time and was known as “Harry Knighting.” It is with a great deal of regret that we must share this news with you.
Over the course of almost twenty years, Harry was an active participant in the Waterton community. Both the foundation of ‘Newco’ and the rescue of the old club were significantly aided by his contributions. He was a key donor.
Following the conclusion of the 2016–2017 season, he was appointed to the role of Club Captain.
As the spreadsheet organizer for the ‘Skins’ section of the club, Harry was in charge of planning a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including Ryder Cup days, away days, and a lot more. Is a master organizer by nature. Because of his outgoing personality, he was always the focal point of any activity that took place at the club. His character was an outgoing individual. He was the epitome of a gentleman.
The time that he was able to spend with the “Skins,” playing golf and mixing with other people while also enjoying a few drinks in the bar, was something that he treasured.
Sadly, he will be missed by a great number of. The Wakefield Crematorium, which can be found at Standbridge Lane, Crigglestone, WF4 3JA, is going to be the location of the funeral service that will be held for Harry on Monday, December 18th, 2023 at 12:40 p.m. according to the schedule that has been established.
At the golf club, there will be a wake conducted after the funeral service. During this terribly difficult time, we would like to express our most sincere condolences to Harry’s devoted wife, Jan, as well as to his children, Peter and Sarah, and to all of his friends and family members. We are truly sorry for your loss.
