In a somber turn of events, Clintwood, Virginia bids farewell to a beloved community member, Michael Lee Mullins, who passed away at the age of 58 on December 2nd, 2023. A pillar of strength and a source of warmth for many, Michael’s departure leaves a void that will be felt deeply by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is now at peace, joining his mother, Bessie William, father, Darrell Mullins, brother, Mitchell Mullins, sister, Rebecca Stanley, brother-in-law,
Michael Stanley, and nephew, Sean (Big Bird) Stanley, in the afterlife. Their reunion is undoubtedly a bittersweet one for those left behind. Despite the sorrow that engulfs Clintwood, Michael’s memory lives on through the survivors he leaves behind.
His children, Christine Vance with partner Louie Hall, Brittany Mullins with Josh Mullins, Misty Jacobs, Michael Mullins Jr, Brody Mullins, and sister Joani Chrysler, carry forward his legacy.
In addition, Michael is survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 nieces, and a multitude of relatives and friends who share in the grief of his passing. As the community comes together to mourn the loss of a dear friend, father, brother, and grandfather, it is a time to reflect on the impact Michael had on the lives he touched.
His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will endure through the stories and shared experiences that bring comfort to those who loved him.
