 In a somber turn of events, the community mourns the untimely passing of Douglas Lucco Perry, a beloved figure who left a lasting impact on the lives of those around him. Born on November 23, 1986, in Wake County, Douglas was the son of the late Larry Thomas Perry and Addie Ruth Cyrus Perry.

Tragically, at the age of 37, Douglas departed this world on Friday, December 1, 2023. Douglas’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and immeasurable humor.

Known for his enduring generosity and a spirit that touched countless hearts, he carved a niche for himself in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished by the community he so profoundly influenced.

A memorial service to honor Douglas Lucco Perry’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, located at 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Following the service, the family will receive relatives and friends, providing an opportunity for the community to share their condolences and support.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Danielle Summers Perry, and leaves behind a legacy through his son, Shawn Perry, daughter, Haylee Summers, and grandson, Brayden. He is also survived by his brothers Larry Cyrus (Jamie), Larry Perry, Jr. (Jena), and sisters Linda Fuller (Ethan) and Rebecca Thompson.
