Tom Kowalski Obituary, In Loving Memory Of Tom Kowalski

In a tragic turn of events, the missing Rockwell City man, Mark Edward Riesberg, was discovered dead on Friday afternoon. The 54-year-old’s lifeless body was found in a Chrysler PT Cruiser parked on a wooded abandoned property located southwest of Jolley.

The grim discovery was made at 1:35 p.m. at 1710 230th St. Riesberg had been reported missing on October 28, prompting an extensive search effort. Unfortunately, the search concluded in sorrow

as the preliminary findings revealed that Riesberg had suffered a single gunshot wound,  as stated by Calhoun County Sheriff Pat Riley. The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, but at this stage, no foul play is suspected.

To shed light on the cause of his demise, Riesberg’s body has been sent to the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

The results of this examination may provide crucial insights into the events leading up to the tragic incident. The community is left in shock and mourning as they grapple with the loss of Mark Riesberg.
