We convey with deep hearts the news of the unexpected death on Monday morning of Joycelyn Donovan, our dear mother. We are touched by the outpouring of love, sympathies, thoughts, and prayers from friends, relatives, and well-wishers during this trying time for myself, Mike (Preach), and our whole family.
It is imperative that the desires of Joycelyn be respected in order to respond to questions regarding funeral services or preparations. She made it clear over the years that she wanted to be cremated without a formal visitation or funeral.
Bright-hearted Joycelyn never wanted melancholy memories connected to her passing. Rather, she imagined a life celebration that reflected her vibrant nature.
We intend to have a party or celebration of life in the spring or summer, per her preferences. In celebration of Joycelyn’s life, friends and family are invited to this wonderful occasion. In her honor, she would have wanted everyone to enjoy, live colorful lives, and accept life. Attending the event will serve as a reminder of Joycelyn’s vibrant existence.
We sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support throughout this trying period. We are feeling stronger and more at ease as we deal with the death of our beloved mother thanks to your kind words and actions.
We’ll be sharing more information about the celebration of life in the upcoming months as we get ready to honor and commemorate Joycelyn’s extraordinary life.
