Preceded in death by his parents, Amedeo and Mary Sylvester, and his sister, Irma Mancini, Amedeo is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, MaryAnn (Fiacco) Sylvester. Together, they raised three children: Bryan Sylvester, Scott (Tina) Sylvester, and Brenda Sylvester. Amedeo’s love extended to his five grandchildren: Alex, Alyssa, and Andrea Sylvester, Skylar Sylvester (Christian Folk), and Morgan (Alex) Pollinger.

Amedeo was a man of many passions and affiliations. He served as an active volunteer at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Endicott, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 5th, at 11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in his honor, and friends are invited to pay their respects at the church from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

A retired employee of Singer Link with over 35 years of service, Amedeo was a dedicated member of various organizations, including the Newark Valley Gun Club, NAWCC, NRA, and the Sons of Italy in Endicott. Amedeo’s love extended beyond his human family to his canine companions, Catch, Rhoda, Nova, and Segal. He will be fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews, and cousins who were touched by his kindness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made in Amedeo’s memory to Mercy House, 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
